EcoCert COSMOS Certification

ECOCERT-certified cosmetics bearing the COSMOS Organic certification are developed in accordance with rigorous standards designed to support both skin health and environmental sustainability. To achieve COSMOS Organic certification, a skincare product must meet strict criteria, including a minimum of 95% organically produced plant-based ingredients and at least 20% organic ingredients in the overall formulation. For products carrying the COSMOS Natural designation, all ingredients must be of natural origin, with only a limited number of approved exceptions—such as certain preservatives—permitted in strictly controlled quantities. On average, ECOCERT-certified products contain 99% ingredients of natural origin, reflecting a strong commitment to natural, responsible, and environmentally conscious formulation.

Sourcing

We are committed to responsible sourcing, selecting raw materials and packaging with environmental and social responsibility in mind. By consolidating the sourcing of 75% of our packaging, labels, and raw materials through a single Irish supplier, we aim to reduce transportation-related emissions and overall energy consumption. Our goal is to be more responsible with sourcing and to reduce our impact on the environment and wildlife as much as possible throughout the product lifecycle.

Ingredients/Packaging

We minimise, where possible, the use of plastic and non-recyclable materials in our products and avoid harmful or toxic ingredients. 70% of our products are handcrafted in small batches in Ireland using high-quality organic and active botanical ingredients to ensure freshness and quality. For these products, we use locally sourced amber glass bottles and jars that are endlessly recyclable and refillable, and actively encourage the use of our refill pouches through selected refill-focused stockists. Our labels are made from 50% recycled material here in Ireland. At every stage of production, Duckberry Goose remains committed to protecting and respecting nature.
