All of our skincare and cleaning products are freshly made each month. As a small, hands-on business, we take responsibility for tracking the shelf life and expiration of every item our stockists carry.
Each item is clearly labeled with either a 6M or 12M icon, indicating it will remain effective for six or twelve months after opening—provided it’s stored properly. We also rotate older stock regularly to ensure everything stays fresh.
If you ever have a question about a specific batch, feel free to reach out to us at hello@duckberrygoose.com

Duckberry Goose products come in beautiful amber glass bottles and jars, designed to protect the formulas from sunlight and help extend their shelf life. For best results, store your products below 26°C and always out of direct sunlight.
If your kitchen or laundry room gets a lot of sun, a cupboard is the perfect storage spot. Otherwise, feel free to display these thoughtfully designed products in any cooler space that suits your home.

Some sediment or cloudiness in our cleaning products is completely normal—it's simply a result of using natural ingredients, which can separate over time. Just give the bottle a good shake before each use to ensure the essential oils and active ingredients are evenly distributed in every spray or pour.

It depends on the product.
For cleaning products, adjust based on the mess. Use a bit more for heavy grease or dirt, but in most cases, less is more. Our Castile Soap-based formulas—like the All-Purpose Cleaner, Counter Cleaner, Dish Soap, and Hand Soap—are naturally low-foaming, so they may not lather as much as conventional products, but they’re incredibly effective while being gentle on skin. With the Counter Cleaner, we use an atomiser spray to help you apply just the right amount—too much can actually dull the shine.
For skincare, here’s a quick guide:
Face products: 1–2 pumps
Face oils: Half a pipette
Nail oils: Full pipette
Deodorant: About half a pea-sized amount
A little really does go a long way with our products.

Currently we only offer refill pouches for our Cleaning Product range, however, we are working on a way to extend this for our Skincare line as well. Until then, you may repurpose those glass jars or email us to have us collect it or alternatively, allow us to offer you a label to send them back to us. Some of our wonderful stockists—like the lovely Killruddery Farm Shop—offer Duckberry Goose cleaning products in bulk. Simply bring your container to the counter and ask the staff to measure out what you need.
You can also find refill pouches for select cleaning products on our website. These contain concentrated active ingredients in a variety of scents (or unscented), designed to be diluted at home in a 1:2 ratio with distilled water. We don’t recommend using tap or mineral water, as impurities can affect both the effectiveness and the streak-free finish of the products.
Thank you for choosing to refill and reuse—every small step helps towards a more sustainable future.
